Every once in a while, I get to work with a quilt that I wish I could keep for myself! Like this beautiful king sized Flea Market Fancy Lattice Quilt with a bright white background that Ashley from FilmInTheFridge.com sent me. She chose to use the Signature pattern in white Omni thread and Quilters Dream Cotton Select batting in white and it looks beautiful!

Amanda’s Spooky Swoon Quilt

I was lucky enough to quilt the cutest ever Halloween quilt for Amanda at MsMcPorkchopQuilts. Her “Trick-or-Treat and Boo to You” Swoon quilt is absolutely adorable and I just love it so much! Amanda entered this quilt into two contests – the Butte County fair (where it didn’t win a ribbon, but every single one of her canned goodies did) and the Cruisin’ with Riley Blake Contest, where it won second place! Way to go Amanda!

Quilts of Valor

I finished quilting seven Quilts of Valor just in time for Independence Day. If you are unfamiliar with the charity, Quilts of Valor are given to wounded U.S. soldiers or to the families of fallen U.S. soldiers. (You can learn more about the Quilts of Valor Foundation, their mission, and how you can get involved at QOVF.org)

All turned out beautifully and I’m so honored that I am able to participate in such a great charity. I hope the men and women who receive these quilts can find some comfort in them.
